In these days when the price for a gallon of fuel is above $10.00 and the cost of living is sky high, owning a vehicle has practically become a luxury. And if previously you found the need of parking your vehicle at home and only using it when necessary, then tonight there is more bad news for consumers. On Sunday, without the knowledge of Belizeans, fuel prices saw yet another increase. Yes, you heard right fuel prices increased for the third time this year.
This means that consumers will need to dig deeper into their pockets in order to purchase a gallon of fuel. The new prices are as follows: regular jumped from $10.91 to $11.21 as it saw a 30 cents increase. In the case of Premium gas it saw an increase of 36 cents as it went from $11.30 to $11.66. Diesel on the other hand saw a minor decrease of .4 cents putting the new price at $10.53 while kerosene remained the same.
The first increase in fuel prices for the year 2012 was recorded on January 1st while the second increase was seen on January 17th.
