Over the Christmas break, opportunistic thieves targeted a Chinese establishment and made away with thousands of dollars’ worth in merchandise. According to Orange Walk police, 42 year old Liqun Quin, businesswoman of San Andres Street reported that between 11:30pm on December 25th and 8:30am on December 26th, her place of business namely Le Chen restaurant was burglarized. Despite having burglar bars to secure her back door, the culprits pried it open and made their way in. Stolen from the premises was (1) 32 inch TCL TV valued at $1,000.00, (1) 42 inch TCL TV valued at $1,599.00, $4,000.00 out of a safe box in the Kitchen and $200.00 in coins from the music box. The total estimated loss was calculated at $6,799.00. Police have no concrete leads and no one detained.
