Screen_shot_2011-12-13_at_7.58.36_PMOn Tuesday October 11th we broke the news of a disturbing incident that was occurring in the Village of Sarteneja. On the 8th of October a Guatemalan Domestic accompanied by her three sons ages 13, 14 and 16, visited the Corozal Police Station and reported that on several occasions one Bryan Sears sexually assaulted the minors. At the time of the incident, the 35 year old American National was a missionary at a local church and worked as a councilor at Corner Stone High School. After the authorities were informed of the heinous act, Bryan Sears was charged for three counts of unnatural crime.

When Sears appeared before the Corozal Magistrates Court on the 15th of November 2011, the prosecution objected to bail which Magistrate Clive Lino upheld. But news tonight is that Sears received bail a few weeks ago to the sum of $10,000 which he met. When we contacted police this afternoon, Officer Commanding the Corozal Police Station, Gualberto Garcia, confirmed the reports.
