Without a doubt Fiesta Rama 2012 proved to be a huge success for the Orange Walk Town Council, the business community- especially those who took part in the business expo and various organizations who were out on the three day event selling numerous products. One organization that took the opportunity to raise funds during Fiesta Rama is the Orange Walk Rotaract Club. Today Rotaract member Ginnel Ozaeta told CTV3 News the money raised will be used for a special project.

“We do it every year for our educational grants that we have and the summer program that we have and also our bag drive, so we need to raise funds to give back to our community, we did very well and the weather I guess was in appositive side effect and it was good, it didn’t rain and also we have to give thanks to our sponsors Luis Cuello and Raul Cuello from the L&R group of liquors and also the Town Council for the booth and the liquor license and so forth.   This year we were aiming for five grants and we made enough money for us to be able to have those five grants and usually we give four and this year we said and our president is pushing the fact that we need to do bigger thing this year right so apart from those five grants that Rotaract will be giving we also came out to the community to ask so that the businesses could match us one and we also got them and we thank the businesses that helped us with those five grants and this year we will giving out more grants.”
