policeAnd while Shamirs family is mourning his death and screaming for justice, Orange Walk Police have detained four persons including three minors and have their own version of what happened yesterday.

According to police reports investigations have revealed that Shamir and Yassir Gonzalez were involved in a fight with two students of the Louisiana Government School.

Since both students are minors we will not release their names we can tell you however, that one is 13 and the other is 15 years old. According to police the Gonzalez brothers were beating the two students when 17 year old Abimael Pott came to their aid and hit Shamir Gonzalez with a 3 feet long galvanized pipe on the right side of the neck. The blow caused Shamir to fall to the ground after which he was rushed to the NRH where he died while undergoing treatment.

Unconfirmed reports to CTV3 News are that charges including that of murder are expected to be brought against 17 year old Abimael Pott.
