In terms of drug seizures, Police hit the double jackpot in Guinea Grass. As they completed their raid on the home of Marela Leiva, they observed two young men sitting under an orange tree looking suspicious.
The two men were approached by Police and informed that a search would be conducted, and plastic bags of cannabis were found in the pockets of each man. They were identified as Darrel Leiva and Heraldo Perez, and after being informed of the offense committed, both men were taken to the Orange Walk Police Station and charged for possession of controlled drugs.
Darrel Leiva and Heraldo Perez appeared at the Magistrate’s Court today where they pled not guilty. Both men were offered bail of $1,000 and their case was adjourned to the 21st of July.
