policeOn the 5th of April Heritage Bank located at Belize Corozal Road was robbed by armed men who walked out of the financial establishment with hands full of cash reportedly $200,000.

Following police investigations the bank manager was detained after it was believed that she had been involved in the robbery. In addition four other persons were detained, namely Ricky Valencia, Harold Valencia, Noel Slusher and Marva Welch.

Noel Slusher was charged with robbery whilst Ricky Valencia was charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Harold Valencia and Samantha Carlos were both charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and Marva Welch was charged with handling stolen goods after she was found with $1,200 believed to be part of the monies stolen.

After appearing at the Magistrates court on April 11th both women were granted bail by the Supreme Court, but the three men were all remanded to Hattieville until their next court appearance which was today.

This morning the case for Samantha Carlos, Noel Slusher, Ricky Valencia, and Harold Valencia was adjourned to the 7th of July, while the trial of Marva Welch has been moved to the Belize City Court.
