bank_Tonight a doctor lies in critical condition at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after he was viciously attacked and robbed right here in Orange Walk Town in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Dr. Enrique Guerra, who has served as the medical Chief of Staff at the NRH, is hanging on to life after his brutally battered body was found in front of Scotiabanks ATM. According to Police, when they arrived on the scene they saw Dr. Guerra lying unconscious on the ground. He was transported to the Northern Regional Hospital where he was then transported to the KHMH for further medical attention.

While his body sustained injuries, the most severe was to his head. According to reliable reports, Dr. Guerra has undergone surgery for internal bleeding, and is in a state of induced coma after the surgery.

According to initial investigations, the motive seems to be robbery, since his personal belongings including two cell phones, credit card and money were taken. Several persons have been detained for questioning, but so far no charges have been laid and the Police are not releasing names.
