The Belize National Teacher’s Union Orange Walk Branch held its first quarterly meeting today with the most important topic on the agenda being the election of a new executive. The purpose of the meeting was twofold: to inform Members on any new developments in the teaching profession and the election of a new executive to run the affairs of the union for the Orange Walk branch.
While there were other topics in the agenda, the elections undoubtedly took centre stage and by the time the nominations were closed, the new executive was already in place.
Keeping his position as president of the BNTU Orange Walk Branch for the third consecutive period was Otilio Munoz while Keith Augustine was elected for the post of Vice President. Over seeing the election was the national President of BNTU, Luke Palacio. On Monday we’ll speak to Munoz about his plans to move the organization forward.
