Screen_shot_2013-10-22_at_8.11.08_PMOrange Walk Police are still actively seeking the whereabouts of a man who fled the scene of a fatal hit and run traffic accident that occurred on September 20th, on the Palmar Road which claimed the life of 25 year old Belizean artist Erron Golanche.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 34 year old Freddy Hernan Villada of a Santa Familia Street Address here in Orange Walk. Since the accident, Police have made contact with Villada’s family here in Orange Walk but their assistance has been close to none since it is believed that Villada has absconded across the border.

Erron Golanche and his brother-in-law Fernando Ical were travelling on a motorcycle on the Palmar Road in Orange Walk at about 10:45 on the night of September 20th, when a white pickup truck travelling in the same direction slammed into them and ran them over.

Instead of stopping to render aid the driver of the vehicle fled the scene and in doing so dragged the badly damaged motorcycle, lodged under the vehicle a good distance away from the point of impact.

Police are trying to bring closure to the case and is asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Freddy Hernan Villada to contact the nearest police station.
