Screen_shot_2013-11-01_at_8.48.21_PMThis morning at around 11:00, a joint Special Branch/Special Patrol Unit team executed a search warrant for drugs and firearm at the residence of Julio Valerio, 42 year old Belizean laborer of number 19 Stadium Street, Orange Walk Town.

 

The search resulted in the discovery of a small transparent plastic bag containing 0.2 grams of crack cocaine and three transparent plastic bags containing 0.3 grams of cocaine found inside a green container that was on the TV stand.  Valerio was home alone at the time of search and was escorted to the Orange Walk Police Station where he was formally arrested and charged for two counts of possession of controlled drugs.


A few hours after Valerio’s arrest, the team executed a search warrant for drugs and firearm at the residence of Freeman Ian Amador, 28 year old Belizean laborer of Palmar/Boundary Road, Orange Walk Town.


Screen_shot_2013-11-01_at_8.48.14_PMAs police searched Amador they found ten small transparent plastic bags of cannabis weighing 10.6 grams in his front right pants pocket. Police also found 73 small transparent plastic bags of cannabis weighing 78.8 grams inside a cement block that was on the beam of the back door of the residence. Amador was home alone at the time of the search and was escorted to the Orange Walk Police Station where he was formally arrested and charged for one count of drug trafficking and one count of possession of controlled drugs.
