Screen_Shot_2013-12-30_at_7.50.13_PMNew Year's Eve has always been a time for looking back to the past, and more importantly, forward to the coming year. It's a time to reflect on the changes we want (or need) to make and resolve to follow through on those changes. From more patience to losing weight to starting to savings account, Reporter Dalila Ical found out what the New Year Resolutions of the people are. Here is that report.

Mateo Arcurio

And even the young have their favourite memories.

Emily Roberts

“Yes I enjoyed this year. The biggest thing that I remember is that I got a lot of friends for Christmas.”

Lorena Torres

“Good, more than what I expected, I had good things, bad things but overall it was the best.”

Cabral Valdez

“Not so very bad but expected thing much better but it didn’t came so probably for this fourteen we will expect much better right.”

Norberto Babb

“For me 2013 was a 50/50 year it was not a good year and I didn’t advance too much, I stayed at the same spot like when the year started but still keep the positivity as a human being and that is all I have to do keep on thinking positive.”

And this is the attitude many are taking on into the new importa lo que pase hay que vivir la vida...

Melvin Escobar

Lorena Torres

“Keep the family going and try the best for them.”

Cabral Valdez

“Try fix up from when I was sick from 2013 to repair it for the 2014 and we will have a perfect year I believe.”

Norberto Babb

“2014 is another year and most important I am looking forward to is the World Cup 2014 and that is the only thing that motivates me football, yeah!”

And like for all of us some expressed the hope that life is a little better in 2014.

Estevan Navarro

While keeping Faith in God as number priority.

Mateo Arcurio

And ultimately, the best wishes go out to everyone.

Emily Roberts

“Happy New years to everybody”

Lorena Torres

“Just go for you dream and you will get what you want.”

Melvin Escobar

Cabral Valdez

“Well just a matter to understand each other and to work together for the community for the development of Orange Walk because all of us are Orange Walkenos and we want to make Orange Walk number one in the whole country and be a proud Orange Walkeno.”

Norberto Babb

“I hope Everybody have a good time and enjoy themselves and do not drink and drive and have fun, dance a lot, talk a lot and kiss a lot and hug a lot and do anything that is good.”

The countdown continues for 2014 and as we wait for the fireworks, we will be hearing more from Nortenos and their New Year’s resolutions in our subsequent newscast.
