policeLast month Roy Lanza was found guilty of the charge of conspiracy in the illegal landing of a plane. The charge came after Roy Lanza is believed to have been involved in the illegal landing of a twin-engine Beechcraft plane which landed on mile 41 on the Northern Highway.

Nine people had been facing charges but all except Lanza were acquitted of all charges due to lack of evidence. Lanza was the only one who went on trial for the crime and after weeks of listening to the testimony of witnesses and all evidence presented he was found guilty by Magistrate Linden Flowers last month.

Today Magistrate Flowers reserved sentencing for the crime and instead fined Roy Lanza $20,000. He has until the 1st of September to pay the fine and if he doesnt he can face 2 ½ years imprisonment.
