The award has handed to Luis Aguillar Junior for his contributions to his community. We caught up with him at his school today and this is what he told us about his experience.

“I start to help out people to do work but I didn’t really expect this.”

“Any community work”

“Yes, help out to clean up and work with Help-age and things like that. I see a lot of people need help so I help them and I see that I need to help and things like that.”

“Did you ever think that you would get something like this, an award, for all that effort, all that assistance you rendered to others?”

 

Luis Aguillar Junior – Awardee

 

“No, because I never get awards and thing, and this is my first one.”

“So does this encourage you to keep doing what is right?”

 

Luis Aguillar Junior – Awardee

 

“Yes, so I will continue to do more changes in this.”

“Excellent, so what would you say to encourage your others fellow classmates, other students out there watching to get involve I their community?”

 

Luis Aguillar Junior – Awardee

 

“Make them not be afraid to change and do not be afraid for people to teased them but do it for them.”

 

The criteria for selection are very strict according to officials. Students must maintain a good grade in school, exemplary conduct and participation in community service.
