The last time we reported on an increase in price of hundred pound cylinder of Butane was back in the month of February when the price for the high grade increased by three dollars and the price for the low grade increased by five dollars. Today, Government announced another change in the price, but don’t get your hopes up because it is not a decrease.
A hundred pound cylinder of butane imported from Mexico is now selling for a dollar more, while butane imported from Central America is selling for two dollars more.
The new controlled price per 100 pound cylinder for LPG imported by Belize Gas limited and Western Gas Company limited from PEMEX in Mexico is as follows:
$129.00 for Orange Walk, $128.00 for Corozal and Belize City, $130.00 for Belmopan and San Ignacio, $131.00 for Benque Viejo Del Carmen, $132.00 for Dangriga and $133.00 dollars for Punta Gorda.
The controlled price per 100 pound cylinder for LPG imported Belize Western Energy Limited, Southern Choice Butane or Zeta Gas and Gas Tomza Limited from within Central America was spiked by two dollars and is as follows:
Orange Walk is at $129.00, Corozal and Belize City is at $128.00, Belmopan and San Ignacio is at $130.00, Benque Viejo Del Carmen $131.00, Dangriga is at $132.00 and Punta Gorda is at $133.00.
