The second individual that spent the Easter Holidays behind bars is Julian Dyer who was wanted by police for a number of armed robberies committed in that municipality and in Belize City for other crimes.


Dyer was charged for three counts of robbery with a firearm. Dyer was charged for the April 7th armed robbery of Jing Jing Store, located at the corner of the Philip Goldson Highway and the Paraiso Junction. He is also being accused of robbing one of the customers who was inside the store at the time. As previously reported, three male individuals entered the business. One of the men pointed a gun at the owner of the store while another robbed him of three to four hundred dollars in cash. The third person attacked a customer and took one hundred and fifty dollars from his wallet. The men escaped on bicycles.


The third count of robbery is for the April 3rd robbery of Ban's Store located on Santa Rita Road Corozal Town.  The owner of the store was opening the shutters of the store for his brother-in-law to exit the shop, when two male persons came out from the side of the shop and entered the establishment.

 

A minor, who was inside the store, was robbed of $7.00 and his bicycle. The robbers made good their escape with approximately $1,500.00 in different denominations two Iphones. Dyer is scheduled to return to court on July 24th.
