Screen_Shot_2014-07-16_at_7.50.04_PMYesterday we told you about a prisoner who escaped from his holding cell at the Orange Walk Police Station. But that prisoner’s freedom did not last long as tonight, he is back in police custody.

We understand that Matthew ‘Mateo’ Bull was recaptured when police got information that he was staying in a house in Trial Farm Village in the Orange Walk District. Police have also detained a female person who we understand will be charged for aiding and abetting a criminal.

For context, Bull was convicted on Monday for aggravated assault with a firearm upon Emil Usher, a resident of Orange Walk and was sentenced to one year in prison. The following day he was to be transported to the Central Prison but around 2:00 in the wee hours of Tuesday morning, Bull managed to free himself from his cell block. Police could not confirm how it is that Bull escaped.
