No_Image_AvailableTonight Manuel Gerardo Sosa, Jovanny Mena and Dardo Chata all of Corozal Town are spending  their first night at the Kolbe Correctional Facility after they were charged for the July 28th broad daylight robbery of a Bowen and Bowen delivery truck. When the trio appeared before the Corozal Magistrates Court this morning, they were all charged for robbery and remanded to prison until the 7th of October 2014 when they are expected to re-appear in court. The men were denied bail since a firearm was used during the crime.

As previously reported, on July 28th, fifty year old Felipe Uk, deliveryman of Bowen and Bowen Corozal Branch, was making a delivery in the area of Alta Mira, Corozal, along with his sideman, when they were approached by three male persons wearing bandanas. Two of the men were armed with firearms which they placed on Uk’s head while demanding that he hand over the day’s sales.

Fearing for his life, Uk, handed over a pouch that that contained an undetermined amount of money belonging to Bowen and Bowen. The men then made good their escape by running into some nearby bushes. Since the day of the incident Corozal Police followed several leads which finally led them to the detention of three men including the ring leader, Manuel Gerardo Sosa.
