Screen_Shot_2014-08-26_at_7.19.33_PMLast week the school of Xaibe became the target of unscrupulous thieves. Margret Carr, 48 year old Belizean principal and teacher at the Xaibe Village R.C. School, reported to authorities that between the hours of 5:00pm on Wednesday the 20th of August 2014 and 9:30am on Thursday August 21st 2014, her office was broken into. The perpetrators made off with five grey and black in color Panasonic brand laptop computers. When police processed the scene, they noticed that there was no forced entry.

The serial numbers and value of the equipment is unknown according to police. It is a significant loss for the school especially since they were donated by the Corozal Rotary Club. Corozal Police continue to investigate and are asking the public's assistance in solving this latest crime which, in their report, they add targets the young people and prevents them from getting a proper education.
