policeThere was a broad daylight robbery in Orange Walk Town this morning and this time the victims were two minors. The two young boys, a 13 year old and a 14 year old, were at Julie’s Used Clothing located on Belize Corozal Road while their mother went out when a man know to them as Aaron Hall approached them. Reports are that after asking the boys “what’s up” Hall walked over to the 14 year old and grabbed a gold chain valued at $2000 off his neck and then made good his escape.

Seeing what happened, the 13 year old set chase after Hall who ran in the direction of Sarstoon Street. According to the 13 year old Hall ran all through Little England and it was in that area that he was seen jumping into this vehicle driven at the time by one Leroy Robateau. At that time the 14 year old minor accompanied by another individual were circling the area in a van and set chase after the vehicle.

Somewhere along Pasture Street the vehicle finally came to a stop. Hall, we understand, exited the vehicle and ran into some nearby bushes making good his escape. Meanwhile Robateau, who we understand was in the company of his daughter, was detained by the family of the 13 and 14 year old until Police arrived on the scene.

Up to news time Police had not detained Hall. As for Robateau, he was taken into Police custody for questioning. Leroy Rebateau is no stranger to the law. Presently he is out on bail for the April 28th 2010 burglary of Sun Luck Store located on Louisiana Road.
