Screen_Shot_2014-09-08_at_7.45.27_PMOn Friday it was Arthur Saldivar who made headlines with a video that went viral showing him using obscene language and gestures, tonight it is the Minister of Education Honorable Patrick Faber that is in the center of public scandal.

According to an article released on the Social Media, a birthday party that took place allegedly at Faber’s house in Lord’s Bank Village over the weekend, turned ugly after he assaulted the birthday girl with whom he shares a relationship with.

The article states that around 5:00 Saturday morning, 25 year old Belizean License Officer at the Ministry of Education, Nickesha Polanco, visited the Ladyville Police Station and reported that between the hours of 2:30am and 3:00am she was having her birthday party at Faber’s residence in Lord’s Bank Village and whilst utilizing her cell phone, Faber approached her and requested her cell phone. When she refused, Faber choked her on the bed.

At that instance Polanco allegedly shouted for her friend Dawna Herbert who came into the room and spoke to Faber. But that is not the end of the story the release further alleges that Faber grabbed Polanco by her hair, pulled her off the bed onto the ground and dragged her to the corridor. He then punched her twice to the right side of the face causing her to feel pain.

Reports suggest that Polanco also sustained abrasions on the right knee and the right hand and during the altercation, Polanco’s friend, Dawna Herbert, was also punched on the face. While Polanco has denied the incident occurred we must make note that a police report does exist and bears the same information provided in the article. The police report also makes mention that a statement was recorded from Polanco and a medico form was issued yet to be certified.
