Screen_Shot_2014-10-27_at_8.02.09_PMA brawl over a cellular phone almost turned tragic for one Orange Walk resident over the weekend. Authorities say on Sunday, 21 year old Embrece Franklin, domestic of Asuncion Street, was socializing at Xunan Bar located on Lovers Lane, when she had an altercation with 39 year old Sherlaine Smith of Smithsonia Street. The altercation allegedly stemmed from a cellular phone and resulted in Franklin being stabbed on the left hip by Smith. After the report was made, police detained Sherlain Smith who was arrested and charged for aggravated assault. Smith was arraigned in court this afternoon.
