LPG_As of tomorrow housewives and restaurant owners will need to dig deeper into their pockets to purchase a hundred pound cylinder of butane as Government announced today a $2.00 increase in the commodity.


The new controlled price per 100 pound cylinder for LPG imported by Belize Gas Limited and Western Gas Company Ltd from Mexico shows Belize City and Corozal residents paying $115.00, Belmopan and San Ignacio residents will pay $117.00, Orange Walk residents will pay $116.00, Benque Viejo $118.00, Dangriga $119.00 and Punta Gorda $120.00.

The controlled price per 100 pound cylinder for LPG imported by Belize Western Energy Limited, Southern Choice Butane or Zeta Gas and Gas Tomza Limited from Central America will be as follows: Belize City and Corozal residents will pay $112.00, Belmopan and San Ignacio $114.00, Orange Walk $113.00, Benque Viejo $115.00, Dangriga $116.00 and Punta Gorda $117.00.


As mentioned, prices will come into effect tomorrow, Friday.
