policeToday Orange Walk Police are a few steps closer to charging two men and a minor in custody since Saturday evening with the Friday night murder of Zhou Ang Tan. Tan was shot in his store at close range with a sawed off 16 gauge shotgun, and an intensive investigation by Police led to the capture of two men hiding in a house on Savannah Street in the Louisiana Area. A minor was subsequently detained and is being held.

This evening, we are told, the men were taking part in an identification parade, but the results of that parade are not known at news time. Based on the results, the men and minor may very well be charged tomorrow with the murder of Tan.

While details are sketchy at this time, a source in the Police Department has told us that Police are also conducting parallel investigations into other crimes in which a sawed off shotgun was the weapon used, including a spate of robberies of entertainment spots in which one of the perpetrators was armed with a sawed off shotgun.

Well have more on this tomorrow, as Police release their findings and the results of the ID parade and determine if the men and minor will be charged for murder, and perhaps other crimes.
