bannerToday 41 year old Chinese businessman Zhou Ang Tan, better known as Tony, was laid to rest by his family and friends. In honor and respect for Tans Belizean friends his body was taken to the La Inmaculada Catholic Church for funeral services. The body was then taken up the Yo Creek Road for cremation. Tans ashes, we understand, will be taken back to China by his wife and three daughters. After Tans cremation the Chinese Community gathered in front of Lees Restaurant to celebrate his life.

Tan was murdered on Friday night when two men entered Tonys Store located on Palmar Road and shot him in the chest after which they made good their escape with an undisclosed amount of cash. Tan died in front of his wife and three children. Today in solidarity with Tans family the Chinese business community closed its doors here in Orange Walk hoping that the message of frustration reaches the ears of those in power.

Its sad how only in Belize people can get away with crim. I know we are a small nation but I do believe that we should invest more in equipment that would help us find these serial killers..............or impliment the law you kill you get killed. try it once or twice I bet they will tink twice!!! Sad how hard working people are killed by lazy ass individuals!!!
