Authorities have also recovered the missing vehicle and personal belongings of De La Rosa including his cellular phone. The vehicle was found in another area in Belmopan. As has been reported, the body of sixty-four year old was found in the La Choza area in West Belmopan on Sunday evening. He had sustained cut wounds to his neck and head according to police. According to reports from other media, police were led to a person of interest who gave a caution statement and then led them to the vehicle hidden in some bushes.

The person detained is an 18 year old but reports are that the family are being denied an attorney. The individual in police custody should be charged by tomorrow for murder. Police are remaining tight lipped about the investigations reportedly ensuring their evidence is solid before charging anyone. As we reported yesterday, the Panama government was sending an official delegation including a judicial officer to assist in the investigation but from what we were made to understand, Belize police have been working on their own thus far.
