imagesTonight there is another homicide to report and it also comes from the old capital. This morning 27 year old Robert Austin Tracey was shot once to the head around 10:00 while on Wagner’s Lane.

Police are yet to ascertain what Tracey was doing on Wagner’s Lane at the time of his demise. What they can say though is that prior to his death he was seen hanging out in the area.

Reports are that Tracey is no stranger to the law.  In 2009, Tracey, was charged along with a minor for the armed robbery of Brads Store on West Collet Canal. In January 2011, he was remanded for being one of three men who allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint on December 31st, 2010 and in 2012 he was charged with attempted murder and grievous harm for the stabbing of a former security guard of the Magistrate's Court. We also understand that he was detained several times for drug possession.

Of note is that Tracey was out on bail for attempted murder at the time of his death.

Police are yet to pinpoint a possible motive for Tracey’s killing and the gunman is yet to be identified.
