Screen_Shot_2014-12-24_at_6.03.24_PMYesterday, Prime Minister Dean Barrow and Japanese Ambassador Yasuo Takase signed Exchange of Notes to provide 1 million dollars in grant funds for the Government.

 

The money will be used to buy a range of products that are manufactured in areas of Japan that suffered from the 2011 earthquake and tsunami on the island nation's pacific coast. Prime Minister Dean Barrow says it’s a way for the Japanese Government to help to stimulate the economy in those areas to help them to get back on the right foot while at the same time allowing developing countries like Belize to benefit from the Japanese Grant.
