Khendis_Elllis_2Congratulations are in order for Orange Walk resident, Khendis Ellis. A release from the National Association for Developmental Education recently awarded Grambling State University’s own Rudolph Ellis, a graduate student from Belize, a scholarship to complete his Developmental Education with Concentration in Curriculum and instructional design.

This scholarship is in honour of the late Dr. William G. White Jr. who is remembered for his lifetime of hard work and dedication to prepare students to further their ranks in his or hers’ education. White was a former professor at Grambling State University and he had a great influence on the students. NADE recognizes professionals and students annually at their Conference and there are several awards that are distributed, one being the Dr. William G. White Jr. award. Ellis was also given a $1,000 stipend to attend a conference upon completion of the program.
