As we showed you at the top of the newscast the Orange Walk Town Council launched their 2015-2018 Manifesto on Friday and while the social contract received approval of those who attended the launching, the team itself received the support of the P.U.P Area Representatives for Orange Walk and there was no shortage of praises for a team that has worked under the mantra of continuously serving the people.
Ramon Monchie Cervantes- P.U.P Orange Walk North Standard Bearer
“The PUP Town Council can be describe as progressive, creative and responsible, we have seen much progress since the irresponsible UDP went out of office, their record is unmatched and that is why we must make every effort to go out and campaign and to ensure the that the PUP seven is once again put back at the Orange Walk Town Hall, a vote for them is a vote for continuous progress for our town, it is a vote for transparency and accountability and for good governance.”
Honorable Jose Abelardo Mai- P.U.P Orange Walk South Area Representative
“A lot has been done but there is a lot more that can be done and I am certain that Mayor Bernard and his team are capable enough to do that job and I must also say that one of the most important things that my constituency has said to me that having free Wi-Fi in the park and at the market has benefitted my constituents tremendously because they are the once that sit there and catch the bus and go back to village and do their homework right there, so Mayor Bernard I am happy for that and thank you for helping the people of Orange Walk South.”
Honorable John Briceno- P.U.P Orange Walk Central Area Representative
“This is the team that have work for the people of Orange Walk Town and that is why on March 4th Orange Walk Town will come out and vote for Mayor Kevin Bernard and the six Councilors for the People’s United Party, so we make no apology we can hold up our head up high in Orange Walk and we could say proudly that we are PUP and we support Kevin and the PUP because the PUP Town Council has delivered for the people of Orange Walk Town unlike the UDP Central Government that have promised so much and have given so little, over 130 million have been spent in Belize City and yet they punish the people of Orange Walk Town because you dared to vote for the PUP, this local election is an important election let’s not forget that, let’s not think that it is only about Kevin and his team, let’s not think that it is only about Orange Walk Town, yes we want Kevin back as Mayor, yes we need a PUP own Council back there in the Town Hall but just as important we need to make sure that the UDP understand that we are tired of the victimization, we are tired of Dean Barrow, we are tired of Gaspar Vega and that we want a new beginning and we want hope in this country and the only time we can have hope is when we have a government of the People’s United Party.”
