Screen_Shot_2015-02-13_at_2.01.32_PMTonight a two ton container truck loaded with what is believed to be cigarettes exported from the Commercial Free Zone is impounded by the Procuraduria General de la Republica in Mexico.

According to a Mexican Newspaper in Mexico, around midnight yesterday, officials from the PGR were on a routine check point where the truck driver was asked to open the doors of his containers. When he did officials noticed the large amount of cigarettes being transported.

The reported added that when officials requested documentation for the cigarettes none could be provided indicating that the products were illegal in the country. The container was heavily escorted to the Procuraduria General de la Republica impound yard where it remains heavily guarded.

The newspaper added that officials had identified Campeche as a possible route used to transport illegal items into Mexico. With that in sight officials stated the need to reinforce the border patrols.
