Screen_Shot_2015-03-17_at_8.51.45_PMA mother of four is pleading to the community to help her finance an operation to enable her seven year old son regain his vision.  Jovita Tillett of Guinea Grass Village is struggling with her son who became visually impaired shortly after he was born. Tillett says his vision can be restored but he needs a series of eye surgeries. He has undergone one surgery and is in need of a second.

“Tengo mi bebe siete y va para ocho años y yo anduve pidiendo ayuda para mi nene y me ayudaron pero los cheque que tenia se lo agarre a mi mama y lo lleve en BCVI y perdieron los cheque y n lo pudieron operar en BCVI pero fui en Corozal y una señora de iglesia y una gringa pago su operación de mi nene y Doctor Hoy lo opero y salió bien pero una semana después empezó a salir como materia en sus ojitos porque le pusieron el contact lense y estaba como infectado y fui a que se lo cambien y se lo limpiaron y gracias a dios está bien y lo único que quiero es a ver si me pueden ayudarme para operar el otro ojo de mi nene.”

The child is undergoing an eye treatment at the moment. The second surgery will cost two thousand dollars. Anyone interested in helping the family out can contact Tillett at 303-1043.
