A Pawn Shop in Corozal Town has been accused of swindling a property for a loan that was issued and the client is tonight crying foul. According to a resident from Sarteneja, who requested to remain anonymous, in 2013 she borrowed a loan from the Pawn Shop of $3,500 dollars but in order for the loan to be approved, the client was asked to provide her property title, which she did. The property owner says that she had a few problems in making payments due to financial constraints and that is when she said the Pawn Shop owner took advantage of the situation….. We spoke to her via telephone today

For balance, we contacted the Pawnshop in question today for comment but we were told that the owner was out on business. We’ll keep trying tomorrow.
