Screen_Shot_2015-10-15_at_8.11.58_PMLast night the Belize Progressive Party released the names of seven candidates who had joined the party for the upcoming General Election on November 4th. Among those candidates is former UDP Mayor for Orange Walk Town Philip De La Fuente who has stated that he decided to run under the BPP in Orange Walk Central since the UDP quote, unquote “does not want him”. Another well know UDP running under the BPP slate here in Orange Walk is Doctor Javier Reyes who has his eyes set in the East constituency.

This means that there are three candidates running in the area now. Today we asked PUP Standard Bearer for the East Josue Carballo for his input on the new party and their candidate and here is what he told us.

Josue Carballo – Orange Walk East Standard Bearer

“I was frankly surprised and puzzled what did the Vega family had to do to their own family member for him to go all out now against the UDP Candidate in the Orange Walk East we all know the candidate for the BPP is a well-known UDP supporter and that is puzzled to know what happened when you all of us going up against its own and democracy is healthy and alive and we welcome any candidate that comes but we know for a fact that the PUP unlike the UDP is really the party that is going for this election united the division are within the UDP and are with disgruntle people like most Belizeans and unhappy with this current government so democracy will prevail after November 4th election and the People’s United Party will form the next government.”
