Screen_Shot_2015-11-12_at_6.23.58_PMDespite the constant downpours being experienced in the North, forecasters at the Belize Meteorological Service are indicating that no Tropical cyclone formation is expected in the North Atlantic, the Caribbean Sea or the Gulf of Mexico during the next 48 hours. According to forecaster Francisca Wellington, this soggy weather is expected to last into the weekend…

FRANCISCA WELLINGTON – Forecaster

“No there is not a system but a pocket of moist that air moving towards us and we also have in the upper levels that is conducive for this to expand so it is not any system like a tropical wave or tropical storm or anything like that and we are seeing a decrease in showers late Saturday evening for the entire country but especially along the coast.”

Of note is that low lying areas will experience localized flooding during the next day or two.
