Screen_Shot_2015-12-03_at_7.50.48_PMThree months ago residents of Xaibe Village began constructing a chapel for the Virgin of Guadalupe. The chapel now houses a 4 foot image of the Virgin of Guadalupe. But that’s not what’s making news tonight.

The story today is that residents of Xaibe strongly believe that the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe appeared on a plantain tree located in the yard of a devoted Catholic. According to Diego Tzul, the image appeared this morning and the first person to come across the image was his aunt.

Stories such as this one are reported across the globe especially at this time of the year and it is not the first time that we hear about the appearance of the Virgin of Guadalupe here in the north. For Xaibe residents the appearance is a sign of gratitude from the Virgin for the construction of the chapel.

As for the owner of the premises, Luciana Tzul she is happy that the Virgin appeared in her yard and the village she lives in.

Every year catholic faithful’s celebrate the virgin’s birthday on the 12th of December. Leading to that day are 11 nights of rosary starting from December 1st.
