But COLCHA is not only about promoting culture. The group also looks into different projects that can assist the community one of them being providing free medical assistance.

As the year 2015 comes to a close so does the activities for the group and according to Chairman for COLCHA, David Akierman, the organization plans to close off 2015 with a bang by hosting a night filled with 80’s and 90’s music with Orange Walk’s very own, Abraxas.

“COLCHA its wrapping up its final event for the year and we want to close off with a concert starting at 7pm at the central park, we have a collaboration with this event and COLCHA is partnering with the Corozal town Council and we are partnering to close off this year calendar with a concert that will be featuring Abraxus from Orange Walk, this is a very, very good band and plays very good mixed music, quality music, I mean these guys play music from the 70’s. 80’s, 90’s, I mean really good music and so I encourage people to come out and enjoy a night of good music.”

While the concern is the first for the group it surely won’t be the last.
