Marijuana_Field_Corozal_3At the top of the newscast we told you about the major drug bust carried out by Orange Walk Police who confiscated 183 pounds of compressed marijuana valued at more than $300,000. While authorities are still investigating where the drug was headed to, in Corozal police have destroyed 5,580 marijuana plants.


On Thursday 31st December 2015 while on an Anti-Drug Operation about 5 miles North West of Paraiso Village in Corozal, the team discovered the Marijuana field about an acre in size with Marijuana plants ranging between 6 inches to 5 feet in height. At the time of the operation no one was in the area and all the plants were uprooted and destroyed by fire. Police are still investigation and the total value of the drug is yet to be determined.
