Screen_Shot_2016-01-07_at_7.46.39_PMPeace Work International and Gateway Technical College have been carrying out works in various communities here in Orange Walk through out this week. One such activity was held today at the Orange Walk Town Hall where Information Technology students from Gateway Technical College held an IT clinic.

The purpose of the clinic was to assist the residents of Orange Walk with diagnostics, repairs and education about problems with computers and other devices.  One of the students from Gateway spoke to us about the clinic and how residents benefited from the activity today.

Jonathan Wallner- IT student

“We are doing an IT clinic where we have local people from the community and bring their PC in and we try to fix them the best we can and  doing virus scan and malware removal and so it can run faster. There have been a lot of viruses and just general mismanagement of the machines but the turnout has been very well.”

Peace work and Gateway Technical College have been holding these activities here in Belize for the past 4 years as part of a yearly initiative with several institutions like, the Northern Regional Hospital, the Ministry of Education and NDACC.
