Screen_Shot_2016-03-01_at_7.58.35_PMLast week, on February 24th to be specific, Orange Walk recorded its fourth murder for 2016.

Police were called out to the Lamanai Lagoon located in the Village of Indian Church, where the body of an unidentified male person was found floating in the water.

The body which had several visible injuries was later identified as that of fifty one year old Guido Urbina, Honduran national that was residing in Indian Church. Investigations in the case later revealed that Urbina was last seen alive in the company of three men who were all socializing at a local bar.

At this time Orange Walk police have those three individuals in custody, the men all persons of interest in the murder case of Urbina. Police detained the men yesterday morning and they are currently at the Orange Walk Police Station being questioned.

Police are still investigating the circumstances behind the murder of Urbina and are yet to determine a motive.
