A female resident of Lamanai Street in Orange Walk Town reported that on Thursday March 17th while walking home on Stadium Street she was approached by a male individual on a bicycle who demanded money from her. The victim reported to police that while she refused to give up her items a struggle ensued between herself and her assailant.  With the assistance of concerned residents of the area who came out to her aid, the female individual was able to get away from her attacker who fled the scene but was later captured by police.

“Police patrol team detained the said male person and conducted an investigation and formally arrested and charge one Jorge Jimenez resident of Orange Walk Town for the crime of attempt robbery, Jimenez was arraigned and pleaded guilty and was send to three years imprisonment.”


Jorge Jimenez was arrested and charged for the offence of attempted robbery and was given a sentence of 3 years imprisonment when he appeared before the Orange Walk Magistrates Court.
