Screen_Shot_2016-04-20_at_8.19.46_PMTwo Orange Walk men were today sentenced to serve two years imprisonment after they were found guilty of the charge of robbery.

The two individuals, namely Gustavo Hernandez and Christian Sutherland were arrested and charged back in May 11, 2015 for the broad daylight armed robbery at Luda’s Fast Food at the corner of Guadalupe Street and the Belize Corozal Road in Orange Walk Town.

At the time of the incident 41 year old Chinese businesswoman Ling Yu Huang reported to police that sometime around 2:45p.m on that day, while at her business place attending to a customer, two male persons with their faces covered and wearing camouflage hats entered the establishment and robbed them at gunpoint.

Sutherland and Hernandez, who were both out on bail, were taken to the Orange Walk Magistrates court this morning for their hearing where magistrate Marlene Moody found them guilty of robbery and handed down a sentence of two years imprisonment to both.
