Former commander of the gang suppression unit, Superintendent Mark Flowers is tonight sitting in a cell at the Hativille Prison. He stands accused of two counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a 14 year old girl but Flowers maintains his innocence and calls the allegations made against him a malicious move on the part of a high government minister. During an extensive and very revealing interview made yesterday, Flowers admitted that he is saddened by it all.

“I am dishearten, I am angry, I am frustrated, I am feeling betrayed, I am starting to have a hate but I don’t know if I am disappointed at all, I don’t think they can disappoint me because I somehow understand the silly games and knowing that is going nowhere and I want to be specially optimistic about everything, and I am thinking that this might be the cause for financing my retirement because one malicious prosecution goes on and you know that it is malicious what else can I even think.”

As head of the infamous GSU, Flowers had no qualms about hiding his political preference during the last general election so why is he now choosing to throw his boss under the bus? That question was posed to Flowers.

Mark Flowers – Former Commander GSU

“I have my own political preference nothing changes, I am entitled to those preferences nothing will change that.”

“But you are basically doing the same thing to John Saldivar contradicting what he has come out and said, he has already taken a lot of heat with what you are saying he is going to take even more people are saying that this is an issue; you have said that he has taken a hundred and ten according to what Mason had told you, the Minister is saying only fifty thousand.”

Mark Flowers – Former Commander GSU

“Mason said that to me and I am telling you that.”

“And you are choosing to disclose this to the public at a time when they are still riled up about this situation?”

Mark Flowers – Former Commander GSU

“Because I don’t care anymore and I now want to go to prison, Mason is there and I could confirm a lot more things if I had that opportunity don’t you think, so I want to go there now.”

“So you are throwing the entire government under the bus?”

Mark Flowers – Former Commander GSU

“No, no.”

“But they won’t take you back after this, a s a UDP?”

Mark Flowers – Former Commander GSU

“I don’t care, I was never a UDP, I said I had my political preferences I am no core bearing or any registered delegate of any party, I have my political choices and I am saying it hasn’t changed particularly as it relates to who leads the party, I take him as a friend, I admire a lot of qualities in him and that can’t change but where a scam is concern I have no love for him anymore.”

Flowers is remanded until September 26th for disclosure in the case but it is expected that his attorney Richard “Dickie” Bradley will process bail for him.
