A short ceremony was held in front of the Orange Walk Police Station this afternoon with the aim of acknowledging and awarding a hardworking police officer for the month of July.


Today Police Constable Akeem Augustine was publicly recognized in the presence of his superiors and colleagues as he marched proudly to receive his certificate.

“I feel great about it, I probably deserve it and I am excited for being police of the month for today. My fellow colleagues I would like to encourage them to work hard, to come to work on time, don’t be late.”


Even though PC Augustine has only been working with the department for approximately two years, he has done an outstanding job due to his commitment and dedication says Officer in Command of the Orange Walk Police Formation, Superintendent Selvin Tillett.

“He is being looked at the police officer who is the most hard working, most discipline and a leader which even though he has been a police officer for approximately two years in the job he has shown much interest in his job, he has plenty arrest and in his relief I think he is the one with the most arrest and a such we need to recognize these people for their hard work not only when they fall but also whenever they do good.”


PC Augustine was presented with a certificate of appreciation, a T-Shirt courtesy of Elite Promos and a gift certificate.
