The agreement includes training sessions to be held both in Taiwan and locally and under this umbrella, the Embassy of the Republic of China in Taiwan has announced that Nephrologist Dr. Kai-Hsiang Shu and dialysis nurse, Ms. Ju-Fen Chiang of Far Eastern Memorial Hospital will be traveling to Belize in order to provide clinical training to four seed instructors of the Chronic Renal Failure Project from both the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital and La Loma Luz Hospital.

The instructors who are to receive the training here in Belize namely, Dr. Glenford Jones, Dr. Marvin Camal, Ms. Michelle Cassimiro and Mr. Dieudonne Sah Tiemula are currently in Taiwan as part of another training that is expected to conclude this week and upon their return, they will be focusing on clinical application and practical technique that will assist in the development of Chronic Renal Failure prevention in our country.

During their stay in Belize, Dr. Shu and Ms. Chiang will also have the opportunity to meet with the Nurses and Midwives Council in Belize so as to discuss the accreditation of dialysis nurse and to provide general information as it relates to the education of dialysis nurse taught in Taiwan.

The training is scheduled to commence on August 15th and conclude on September 14th, 2016.
