Screen_Shot_2016-11-01_at_7.52.37_PMLast night we told you about Gilbert Young, a resident of Savannah Street who was assaulted by an individual personally known to him after an argument reportedly ensued between both men on Saturday night allegedly over political affairs. Tonight we can tell you that while he had been detained by Orange Walk Police following the incident, forty one year old Michael Shaw Sr. better known as ‘Taicos’ the driver of Rachel Dominguez the president of the National Sports Council was officially charged this morning for ‘Aggravated Assault’ and ‘Dangerous Harm’. CTV3 News understands that Shaw was denied bail and was remanded to prison until the 3rd of November.


As a result of the incident, Young sustained a fractured skull and according to reports from a family member, he had to undergo immediate surgery. Young is currently recovering from his injuries at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
