beerThe Customs and Excise Department of the Orange Walk Branch made a huge contraband bust last night in the village of San Pablo. CTV3 News has been informed that Custom officers who were on duty headed out to the village and visited an abandoned thatch house where a total of one hundred twenty cases of Mexican beer were found inside the building. The total street value of the contraband goods adds up to approximately four thousand eight hundred dollars as it is estimated that a single case could be sold at forty dollars. It is likely that the cases of beer were bought in preparations for this year’s Christmas season. No one was found in the area at the time the search was conducted.
