Screen_Shot_2016-11-17_at_7.55.43_PMOn Tuesday Orange Walk police arrested and charged one of their own, Police Constable Jaime Gongora, after a report of police brutality was made against him by twenty one year old Hugo Noh, a Guinea Grass resident. As previously reported, during his arraignment, Gongora plead not guilty and was offered bail in the sum of $4,000 plus one surety of the same amount.

Today we contacted Noh’s younger sister, who informed our news team that the family is not at all happy with how the case was handled. According to Liela Noh, the officer should have been imposed a stiffer punishment for having inflicting severe injuries to her brother.

According to Noh, her brother will proceed with making a report to the Disciplinary Tribunal of the police department and a formal complaint to the Ombudsman office. Additionally, Noh will also continue with his complaint against the police department.
