Screen_Shot_2016-12-12_at_8.10.57_PMA Corozal man is sitting behind bars tonight at the Central Prison after he was formally arrested and charged for the brutal murder of 30 year-old Bladis Gonzalez who was stabbed to death inside his home in October of this year.

44 year old Robert Locke, who was the prime suspect of the murder was on the run since the October incident. Locke was captured on Friday night by Belize City Police and later transported to Orange Walk where he appeared in Court today. No plea was taken from Locke who was remanded to the Central prison until his next court date scheduled for January third 2017.

Viewers may recall the incident which occurred on October 3rd inside Gonzalez’s home located at the corner of Ziricote Street and Palmar Road in the Louisiana area. Reports at the time of the incident indicated that Gonzalez was the victim of a love triangle gone wrong. He was inside his house with his brother-in-law when his attacker came looking for him and stabbed him several times to the chest and abdomen causing his death presumably because he held a romantic relationship with Locke’s ex-common- law wife.
