In Friday’s newscast we reported on the drug trafficking case being investigated by police which involved a high speed chase between cops and this grey Jeep in the village of Trial Farm. As mentioned on Friday, Orange Walk Police intercepted the vehicle which was speeding, and after the driver of the vehicle did not pull over when asked to do so, authorities fired a single warning shot before the car came to a stop. Three male individuals then exited the vehicle and attempted to escape into some nearby bushes but were intercepted by police.
Along with the three male persons who were later identified as, thirty two year old Junior Triminio, nineteen year old Albert Vargas and nineteen year old Jose Medina, police discovered a large travelling bag which contained five parcels of suspected cannabis. The drugs along with all three individuals, who are no strangers to police, were transported to the Orange Walk Police station where the drugs were processed and weighted amounting to a total of 4, 890 grams. All men were later charged with a single charge of Possession of a controlled drug with the intent to supply.
Triminio, Vargas and Medina appeared today before the Magistrates court where they pleaded not guilty to the charge, and were offered bail in the sum of five thousand dollars which they met. The men are to reappear in court of March twenty eight 2017.
